	Into the Woods Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center Main Theater Performance Dates: February 27, March 6, 7pm February 28, March 1, 7, 8 at 2pm Performance length: 150 min with 15-minute intermission Stephen Sondheim and James Lapines Into the Woods weaves familiar fairy tales into one surprising story. When a Baker and his Wife set out to lift a curse, their journey intersects with Cinderella, Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel—each chasing a wish. But once the wishes come true, the characters discover that choices have consequences, and “happily ever after” is more complicated than it seems. Funny, moving, and sharply insightful, the musical explores desire, responsibility, and what it means to live in community. Directed by Dr. Tia Madison, Music Direction by Dr. Christina Howell. Conducted by Duncan Cooper. The production features community members alongside Napa Valley College students who make up the core cast of this production. Festival Performance Dates: March 21 at 2pm March 21 at 7pm Performance length: 180min with 15 minute intermission Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center Main Theater We will once again celebrate the rich heritage and cultural traditions of Mexico through Mariachi music and education. ¡Viva Mariachi! at Napa Valley College offers a unique opportunity for our community to learn how these programs are thriving throughout the U.S because of their effective role in student success, all while enriching the cultural vitality and musical traditions of their institutions and surrounding communities. Featuring three award-winning groups: Mariachi Las Aguilitas de Davis Bilingual Elementary School from Tucson, AZ, Mariachi Garibaldi de Southwestern College from Chula Vista, CA, and LBC Mariachi Cantares de Mi Tierra from Santa Rosa, CA. _ Please note: show may contain effects, such as lighting and/or amplified sounds during parts of the performance.
