A classic murder mystery featuring detective Hercule Poirot. While traveling on the luxurious Orient Express, Poirot is approached by a wealthy American, Samuel Ratchett, who seeks protection from an unknown threat. Poirot declines, and the next morning, Ratchett is found murdered in his cabin—stabbed multiple times. As a snowstorm halts the train, Poirot investigates the passengers, uncovering that each has a hidden connection to a tragic past crime. Through meticulous deduction, he reveals that Ratchett was actually a notorious criminal responsible for the kidnapping and murder of a young girl. The passengers, all linked to the victim, conspired to enact justice, each taking part in the crime. Faced with the truth, Poirot offers an alternative explanation to the authorities, allowing the guilty parties to go free.
