Needle Tatting
Saturday, November 1 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Gore Place is excited to welcome Elaine O'Donal from Tatted Webs to lead us in the traditional skill of lace making.
This workshop is for the beginner who wants an introduction to tatting. Needle tatting is easier and faster to learn than shuttle tatting. During the workshop, Elaine will guide you through making a lace butterfly. She will also cover all the basics of needle tatting, as well as how to read and follow patterns and tips on how to finish items.
Participants will be provided with a kit to use in class and bring home with them. The kit includes a tatting needle, thread, and beginner patterns.
So that you have plenty of time to finish your butterfly under Elaine’s expert tutelage, the workshop will run for four hours. If you need to leave earlier, however, you may.
This workshop is part of our Traditional Skills series and is only open to teens and adults. Space is limited, so make sure to reserve your spot today!
