The Vienna Boys Choir are one of the oldest and most famous choirs in the world. In Vienna, together with members of the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna State Opera Chorus, they maintain an imperial tradition as a court music band: they have been performing regularly in the Hofburg Chapel since 1498. The repertoire of the Vienna Boys' Choir ranges from the Middle Ages to contemporary music. Today there are almost 100 active Vienna Boys' Choir between the ages of nine and fourteen.
The Choir has traveled to almost all countries in Europe, Asia and Australia, South and Central America, Canada, and the USA, including right here in Corning New York in 1974 and 1994! Together, the choirs perform around 300 times a year in front of almost half a million spectators. Experience the finest voices Austria has to offer with this special holiday concert.
