Romeo and Juliet

August 8th and 9th at 7pm

Tickets: $15

Join the talented young thespians of the Majestic Theatre’s yearly Shakespeare summer camp as they present their swashbuckling frontier town take on Romeo and Juliet.

Our titular lovers meet at a party and instantly fall for each other—Romeo, because he loves being in love, and Juliet, because she needs something for herself outside of her controlling family. Aided by Juliet’s beloved nurse and the jovial Friar Lawrence, the couple marries in secret to predictably disastrous results. Is it a tragedy? Yes, technically. But contrary to popular belief, Romeo and Juliet is the funniest tragedy in Shakespeare’s canon! So prepare to enjoy a nice romantic comedy (until everyone starts dying, of course).

Please note that this production will feature choreographed sword fights with stage blood. Youth swords have been provided by our generous Majestic Gala donors.
