The Sacramento Master Singers invite you to a bold and inspiring program: New Voices New Directions. This concert celebrates the vibrant creativity of contemporary composers, with a special spotlight on the powerful contributions of women writing for today’s choral stage. Featured works include: Andrea Ramsey’s mesmerizing Come and I Will Sing You, Hyo-Won Woo’s exhilarating Cum Sancto Spiritu, and Faith Zimmer’s soulful and uplifting reimagining of I’ll Fly Away.
This performance is more than a showcase of stunning new music—it’s also your chance to glimpse the future of the Sacramento Master Singers. Joining Artistic Director Ralph Hughes on the podium are two guest conductors, finalists for the Artistic Director position beginning in the 2026–2027 season.
Come experience this sneak preview of the inspiring leadership and exceptional music these candidates bring with them. You’ll witness a choral ensemble energized by fresh perspectives and hear compositions that point to the future of vocal music.
New Voices New Directions promises a concert of musical innovation and choral excellence you won’t want to miss.
