GRAND DRAMA & COMEDY CLUB
A GREATER LOESSER MOMENT – a Musical Tribute by Robert O. Davis, adapted by Matt Newhard

The Grand Drama & Comedy Club proudly presents its 2026 musical production, A GREATER LOESSER MOMENT, a tribute created by playwright Robert O. Davis and adapted by Matt Newhard. This is an original compilation of Frank Loesser's works, providing our audiences with a musical journey through the decades.
In a down-on-its-luck bar, seven strangers wander in off the street and are swept into an unforgettable night where music and memory intertwine. This chance encounter blossoms into unexpected friendships, demonstrating how the power of song can bring people together. Audiences will be carried through decades of Loesser’s remarkable career with 27 timeless numbers—favorites like “Luck Be a Lady,” “Once in Love with Amy,” “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “Standing on the Corner,” and “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” Between the songs, glimpses of Loesser’s own story unfold, from Hollywood hits to wartime anthems to Broadway triumphs, reminding us that his legacy lives on every time his words are sung. Nostalgic, joyful, and deeply human, A GREATER LOESSER MOMENT is both a heartfelt tribute and a lively celebration of one of America’s greatest musical storytellers.
