From Cuba, with Love

Saturday, September 27th at 2:00pm

From Cuba with Love is a riveting story of the life of a “Peter Pan” Kid- a 9 year-old who was sent to the United States by his parents to avoid being sent to Russia by Fidel Castro.

Operation “Peter Pan” was a mass exodus of over 14,000 unaccompanied Cuban minors to the U.S. from 1960-1962. Hear the incredible story of Dr. Manuel Prestamo as he describes what it was like to become an immigrant in America, specifically Sarasota, during turbulent times and how the world of performing arts embraced him.
