In 1938, Howard Koch and Orson Welles produced a radio broadcast based on HG Wells' classic sci fi novel "The War of the Worlds." The broadcast incited a panic among many in the listening area who thought they were hearing actual news reports, and as a result it became a classic 20th century pop culture moment, one that helped turn Welles into a household name.

As a lead-up to and fundraiser for our fall production of "Little Shop of Horrors," SMHS Theatre Co. present this original 1938 radio script in its entirety! All ticket sales and money raised at the event will support the rental of the Audrey II plant and other critical needs for the show.
