Cellist and CIM alum Mike Block returns with another invigorating program, featuring faculty percussionist Jamey Haddad and Yacouba Sissoko, a master of the kora, a West African stringed instrument. Together, they meld West African and American traditions through an intimate collaboration that features their original compositions and adaptations of traditional folk repertoire.
