Set in a summer home in 1912, the play unfolds over a single day and night in the life of the Tyrone family, exposing the deep emotional wounds, addictions, and regrets that haunt them. As the day progresses, old grievances resurface: Mary’s addiction, James’s miserliness, Jamie’s self-destruction, and Edmund’s illness. Each character retreats into their own form of denial or escape, culminating in Mary’s final descent into delusion as she reminisces about her youth and lost dreams.
