'The Lobby' by Don Creedon.

Set in the lobby of a New York City apartment building, this is an Irish immigrant story, a modern American comedy, and an old-school farce all wrapped up in one, hilarious new play.

Don Creedon’s The Lobby brings together a cross-section of Irish immigrants and American locals whose paths collide in unexpected ways. Through sharp dialogue and a mix of humor and poignancy, the play explores themes of loneliness, community, displacement, and the search for connection in a city that can feel both full and isolating.

As strangers strike up conversations and personal histories unfold, the lobby becomes more than a waiting space—it turns into a crossroads of hope, memory, and the human need for belonging.
