The Nutcracker Suite is an album by American pianist, composer, and bandleader Duke Ellington recorded for Columbia Records, featuring jazz interpretations of the 1892 ballet "The Nutcracker", arranged by Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. In 1960, Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn reinvented Tchaikovsky's holiday ballet classic as a jazzy, brassy melting pot of musical styles past and present.
