The Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music is pleased to present the 3rd annual BW Double Reed Day on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

This event is open to beginners, junior high, high school and college oboe and bassoon students. Double reed enthusiasts, teachers, professionals and music directors are all welcome.

This year's guest artists, Frank Rosenwein (Principal oboe with the Cleveland Orchestra) and Andrew Brady (Principal bassoon with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and St. Paul Chamber Orchestra), are renowned for their artistry and teaching expertise.

The day of masterclasses begins with a Faculty and Guest Artist Recital and culminates with a large Double Reed Ensemble performance featuring all participants.

The registration fee includes lunch, a Double Reed Day T-shirt, as well as access to all master classes, exhibits, and performances.

11:00 a.m. Registration opens

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Faculty and Guest Artist Recital (Gamble Auditorium - Open to the Public)

12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. Boxed Lunch (Lobby/Kadel Family Vocal Music Hall) + Exhibits Open

1:30–2:20pm HS Masterclasses

5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Grand Finale Ensemble Performance and Prize Giveaways (Gamble Auditorium)

Parents or guests of participants who will join us for lunch. (The final concert is free and open to the public.)

Vendor: $25 
Vendors are invited to sell merchandise, equipment and instruments in our exhibits room. Please contact the hosts for information and include the number of 8ft tables you'll need. Vendor tickets include lunch and a t-shirt.
