Mozart's Symphony No. 14 reveals the young prodigy at his most playful and assured, while Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 1, written when the composer was just fifteen, crackles with ambition and invention. Completing the program is a living example of that same extraordinary spirit: Amplifi Napa Valley Emerging Artist, Mattea Williams presents her original work "Nature's Breath," an evocative new composition drawn from the organic rhythms and textures of the natural world. Together, these works remind us that the next great voice may be closer than we think.
