Embellishing a Reticule

Saturday, February 14, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Join us for a workshop to finish and ornament a reticule - a small purse carried by women during the regency era. Students will ink and color the pattern of their choice on partially constructed reticules in the fashion of young ladies of the 19th century. Elements of historical design have been selected from across the estate, from wallpapers to embroidered clothing.

Depending on your skill level, additional embroidered elements may be added to your reticule. Basic sewing skills will be used to finish stitching the reticule so you can carry it home at the end of the workshop. This class is intended for beginners but all skill levels are welcome.

Teens and adults only.
