Nick and his family are leaving their native country of Homeland and moving to America. But upon arrival in the “land of opportunity,” they discover a wildly different culture and are struck by challenges they didn’t expect.
In Dennis Foon’s clever play, Nick and his Homelander family speak English while the Americans speak a gibberish language, allowing the audience to experience what it is like to be an outsider overwhelmed by a new place.
