Dork Side of the Moon: A Science Comedy Show

March 14th at 7:00PM and 9:00PM

Majestic Lab

Tickets: $17

Is it comedy or is it science? Yes! Join mathematician-turned-comedian Sarah Hagen as she leads the audience on a wildly hilarious, mildly risqué, but (mostly) factually accurate journey explaining how the Ancient Greeks were able to measure the distance to the moon and sun despite living in a time period so primitive that memes were shared via pottery.

Sarah Hagen is a mostly normal person with an irritating obsession with mathematics. In an act of wild desperation, she began moonlighting as a stand-up comedian with the express purpose of incorporating mathematics into comedy. Seven years later, she is a fixture of the northwest comedy scene and co-producer of the touring STEM vaudeville show Singu-hilarity, as well as the popular recurring show Naughty but Nerdy, which runs all over the West Coast. She holds a PhD in mathematics and is a former OMSI Science Communication Fellow.
