Courting season is upon us, and the Viscountess Lavender Bridgton is hosting a gala to celebrate her daughter Daffodil’s 1813 premiere season. Among the guests: Stephen Hound, the Duke of Hasty, rumored to be courting Daffodil—much to the displeasure of her brother, Tony. Saucy Featherly, Daffodil’s lifelong friend and arch rival, will attend with whispers of her interest in Tony himself. Lord Nigel Ambrosia arrives sporting a fresh black eye, allegedly courtesy of Miss Bridgton. And if the winds are fair, perhaps I, Lady Thistledown, shall make an appearance.
