2026 Concerto Competition Finalist Concert

Open to all IM students, participants must progress through two rounds before having the opportunity to perform with the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts Orchestra. The first round was held via video submission in December 2025 and had 13 applications. These 13 students were narrowed down to 8 finalists by a panel of international musicians unaffiliated with Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. On January 27th, these eight finalists will perform their selections in a live concert with piano accompaniment. Three or four of them will be selected to perform with the orchestra in May by a new jury panel of local professional musicians unaffiliated with Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. So come support these amazing students and enjoy what will surely be an incredible concert!

Also, proceeds of these ticket sales will directly support the concerto concert with full orchestra that will be held at Caroline H. Hume Hall at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music on May 27th, 2026.
