Cantori, Live Arts Maryland’s women’s ensemble returns on April 26 with a brand new concert called And the Winner Is... featuring Oscar and Grammy award-winning songs that have become beloved standards of American popular music.

Through the years, hit movies have given us unforgettable music that everyone seems to know. Think of “Moon River” from the 1961 Audrey Hepburn movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, or “The Way We Were” by Marvin Hamlisch from the 1973 movie of the same name. This concert is filled with songs that will instantly ring a bell - including a wildly popular Oscar-winning song from a Disney movie! Can you guess which one?

The program also highlights the music honored by the Grammy Awards, featuring fresh new arrangements of such award-winning favorites as From A Distance (Bette Midler), Don't Know Why (Norah Jones), and Rolling in the Deep (Adele).
