Radium Girls
In 1926, radium was all the rage. The new technology was used to shrink tumors, make luminous watches, and made Madame Curie an international celebrity. But then something happened. The girls who painted the watches became ill with a mysterious disease.
RADIUM GIRLS is based on the true story of young Grace Fryer, 15, who led the fight to expose the situation and seek resolution. This TWO YOUTH PRODUCTION brings all the drama and the history to the stage, performed by local teens.
Playing November 13-15 at TRINITY CENTRE, the curtain rises at 7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, 2:00 Sunday the 15th.
