After the collapse of her marriage, Rachel Watson imagines the perfect life of a couple she sees out the window on her commuter train to and from London. Her life is changed forever as she witnesses something shocking and finds herself at the heart of a missing person investigation. As she gets drawn deeper into the case, Rachel must confront her own unreliable memory, her poor life choices, and the blurred boundaries between what she thinks she knows and what she actually witnessed.
