"Come From Away" is a musical that tells the true story of Gander, Newfoundland, during the week following the September 11 attacks. The story revolves around the events when 38 planes carrying approximately 7,000 passengers were diverted to Gander International Airport, Newfoundland, causing the town's population to double. The characters in the musical are based on actual Gander residents and the stranded travelers they housed and fed.

The musical captures the kindness and community spirit of the locals as they welcomed the passengers, forming deep bonds amidst the chaos. It has been praised for its emotional depth and has won multiple awards, including the Tony Award for Best Direction.
