Led by instructor and Jazz Ensemble Director Thomas Molina, NVC students and community members will perform music by in a variety of styles within the jazz idiom including swing, funk, and Latin jazz.

The NVC Jazz Ensemble is one of the most distinctive ensembles in the music program, built around the particular demands of jazz: the discipline of the tradition, the freedom of improvisation, and the ensemble awareness that makes both possible at once. Attending the concert is a chance to hear that balance in action, and to witness student musicians doing something genuinely difficult look surprisingly easy.
