Capital City Theatre is proud to present Come From Away, featuring the show’s official Replica Creative Elements. Based on a remarkable true story, this heart-warming musical tells how the small town of Gander, Newfoundland doubled in size overnight to care for 6,579 stranded airline passengers in the wake of 9/11. When 38 planes were diverted to its doorstep, a tight-knit community opened their doors and hearts to an international community of strangers. providing food, shelter, and steadfast friendship when it was needed most. Powered by a vibrant, Celtic-infused folk-rock score, this unforgettable musical captures the best of the human spirit, celebrating how generosity, hope, and community can triumph over adversity.

• Running Time: Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes (performed without an intermission).

• Content Advisory: Recommended for ages 10 and up. This production contains mature themes surrounding the events of September 11 (including mentions of terrorism, discrimination, and medical trauma), mild language, religious themes, and depictions of alcohol use. We encourage patrons to use their own judgment based on their sensibilities and a child’s maturity level.
