Nicole Wolcott and Ensemble PRESENT Spotlight

Choreographer Nicole Wolcott, a twenty-year veteran of New York City's professional dance world, presents Spotlight - a meditation on light and shadow where the sublime meets spectacle and the show begins where you least expect it.

You'll start backstage, in the shadow of the dance. Dancers illuminate themselves like a breathing watercolor on a translucent screen; a shadow film. As the screen pulls back, audiences move through the space like a director moving through a set, you’ll discover the dance from every angle as it unfolds around you, until a single shaft of light becomes an entire world.

Spotlight explores how light isolates, illuminates, and transforms - capturing the spontaneous, physical, and unpredictable imagination of the body in motion. A theatrical experience designed for the curious and the adventurous.

Featuring Katie Thompson and the following ensemble members: Penelope Baquero, Cedar Brant, Kate Conrad, Matty Hancock, Alyssa Kennamer, Celia Easton Koehler, Abby Meyer, Jenna Buska, Sarah Reynolds, Kirsten Kearse, Lori Mitchell, Rachel Oliver Young, Carrie Richer, Tracy Topp, Jessica Weltman.

Warning: There will be moments of bright lights flickering into the audience. Nothing sustained and no strobes, but notable.
