CAHOOTS Ken and Jan, and their friends, Al and Lois are having dinner in Ken and Jan’s apartment before going to a block association meeting on neighborhood crime. Al, Lois’s husband, has become obsessed with the subject and in an attempt to demonstrate how vulnerable they all are, sneaks out and dresses up as a masked burglar. He breaks into Ken and Jan’s apartment via the terrace while the women cower in fear. Ken fatally clobbers Al with an oversized pepper mill. What pursues is a comedy of errors where one victim is killed twice and several bodies are disposed of from the terrace. Filled with witty dialogue and hilarious one-liners, the play demonstrates that things usually do get worse before they get better and the mayhem that can ensue when four “good friends” get together for a quiet dinner.
