How do you measure a year in a life? Jonathan Larson’s groundbreaking musical Rent is a powerful celebration of love, creativity, friendship, and the courage to live fully in uncertain times. Inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème and featuring an iconic rock score that includes “Seasons of Love,” “Take Me or Leave Me,” “La Vie Bohème,” and the title song, Rent is an enduring musical about community, resilience, and measuring life in love.

Set in New York City’s East Village at the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis, Rent follows a group of young artists struggling to create meaningful lives while facing poverty, illness, addiction, and an uncertain future. Filmmaker Mark attempts to capture the world around him while his roommate Roger, a musician living with HIV, searches for one final song that matters. Their interconnected circle of friends and lovers forms a chosen family as they navigate joy, conflict, heartbreak, and loss over the course of one unforgettable year.

Run Time: 2.5 hours including a 15 minute intermission
