A joyous story of a heartwarming courtship

November 14 & 15, 2026 Sat and Sun 7:30pm and Sun 2:00pm $12 adults, $10 students

U.S. Army Captain Jack Ludwig, a shy, military doctor stationed in Oregon, begins writing to Louise Rabiner, a lively, aspiring actress and dancer in New York City, hoping to meet her someday if the war will allow. Their romance blossoms through witty correspondence and they fall in love through letters, despite never meeting in person. But as distance and the war continue, both threaten to end their relationship before it even starts. Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig (Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, Lend Me a Tenor) tells the joyous, heartwarming, and real-life love story of his parents’ courtship during World War II and the results are anything but expected.
