THE NUTCRACKER AND THE BOUSE KIND
Adapted and Directed by Joshua Goldberg, from the original fairytale by E. T. A. Hoffman
Produced by Players Ring RING RISING Theatre Education Program
It’s Christmas Eve, and Marie Stahlbaum can hardly contain her excitement… her Godfather Drosselmeyer is on his way with dazzling trinkets and toys in tow! But this year it’s the simplest gift, a Nutcracker, that catches Marie’s eye and sets her off on a holiday adventure beyond her wildest sugar plum dreams.
With the spiteful Mouse King out for revenge, will Marie be able to break the Crackatook Curse and discover the secrets of the Nutcracker?
Though similar in story to the classic ballet, this brand-new adaptation brings E. T. A. Hoffman’s original fairy tale to life with a healthy helping of holiday magic!
This workshop production, performed by kids and for kids, is part of the RING RISING Theatre Education Program, and the culmination of 6 weeks of rehearsals focused on collaboration and the creative process.
