Youth Stage Combat Workshop

The skills and techniques of stage combat are an invaluable part of the young actor's arsenal.  Plays by Shakespeare, fantasies, even musicals often have such action oriented scenes.

Saturday, August 29, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, TWO's Education Coordinator Kayla Kelley will lead a YOUTH STAGE COMBAT WORKSHOP for students age 10-18.  The workshop will be at THE EMPRESS THEATER, 418 Frederica.

The class will entail:

• Learning safety
• Falls
• Unarmed fight
• Creating choreography
• Armed fighting (long and short swords)

This training will be great experience for actors who wish to be considered for our holiday production of THE LION, THE WITCH, and THE WARDROBE.  That show has extensive battle choreography!
