America turns 250 and we're throwing the party. Join us for a stirring, flag-waving celebration featuring the Appalachian Men's Ensemble under Noah Delong. The program sweeps from Thomson's Suite from The River and Lowden's beloved Armed Forces Salute to Thompson's powerful The Testament of Freedom, Barber's heart-stopping Adagio for Strings, and the unmistakable jazz-age swagger of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with piano soloist Dr. Katherine Benson. A night of music as big as the country it honors.
