In the 1920s, the girls who painted luminous watch dials were told they were working with a miracle substance. They had no idea that the radium they handled every day would slowly destroy their lives.
Radium Girls tells the powerful true story of the young women who worked in radium-dial factories and bravely fought for justice when they began suffering the devastating effects of radiation poisoning. This exceptional ensemble-driven play explores the strength of the human spirit and the importance of standing up for what is right—even when the odds are against you.
We invite you to experience this moving story of courage, perseverance, and the young women whose voices helped change the future of workplace safety.
