Town Hall Theater Presents:

A Spotlight on the Arts

Saturday, October 17th 5pm-9pm

For one night, every corner of Town Hall Theater opens up for art, music, dance, and a few once-in-a-lifetime surprises — all to support the shows, students, and stage lighting that keep this place going.

Start the evening on the first floor of the New Wing and in the Jackson Gallery, exploring a fine art sale curated by Theresa Harris, former director of Edgewater Gallery, alongside live jazz and intimate performances from Erin Cassels-Brown and Deep Think Jazz Trio. Try your hand at collaborative tote-bag art-making, or join David Rose for a welcoming mini dance class open to all skill levels.

From there, the celebration moves to THT's historic Rothrock Main Stage for a performance by acclaimed dancer and choreographer Christal Brown, a showcase of work from local clothing designers, and a live auction. The night closes out with music and dancing to The Doughboys.

The silent auction runs throughout the evening, with one-of-a-kind experiences up for bid: a private dinner with acclaimed author Julia Alvarez and Bill Eichinger, a private screening and conversation with Jay Parini, a studio tour and lunch with painter Kate Gridley, and a private living-room performance of Doug Anderson's Inner Weather: A Robert Frost Calendar.

Passed appetizers, desserts, and one complimentary glass of sparkling wine or a non-alcoholic beverage are included with your ticket.

Proceeds from A Spotlight on the Arts support free and reduced-price arts experiences, scholarships, expanded education and programming, and new lighting for the Rothrock Main Stage.

THT is grateful to event sponsors Gaines Insurance, Marble Trail Financial, M&T Bank, and anonymous donors for making this night possible.
