Forged in the summer of 2024, Bums in the Attic crafts a sound they call "Apocalyptic Americana" - a righteously raucous blend of traditional country, progressive rock, and theatrical drama. The ensemble brings together an eclectic crew of veteran storytellers: English professor Adam Renchen delivering commanding baritone vocals and electric guitar, musical theater playwright Lauren Gundrum on violin, ukulele, and backing vocals, singer-songwriter / multi-instrumentalist Doug Myers on keys and guitar, singer-songwriter Anthony Baldini on bass, and drama professor/actor Stephen Smith holding down the kit. Channeling the dark, lyrical gravity of Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Johnny Cash, and PJ Harvey, the band sharpens its political protest and razor-sharp satire across two EPs, Lost Causes (2024) and The Denouement (2025). Their third EP, Divine Madness, is set to drop in late 2026.

This event is BYO! Each guest may bring up to one six-pack of beer or one bottle of wine - there is a $5 fee per six-pack or wine bottle. Lidded cups will be provided. A valid ID is required. Please note that liquor is not permitted.
