quartet of love-starved local bachelors. The husbands-to-be
include a lumberjack, a saloon owner, a grizzled prospector and a

quartet of suckers, leaving our actress a wealthy widow to all

offensive musical is a laugh-out-loud, outrageous, crowd-pleasing
farce that has been a smash hit since its debut. Fading Broadway
producer Bialystock is desperate to get to the top of his profession
again, and he finds an unlikely ally in mousy accountant Bloom,
who hypothesizes that one could make far more money with a
flop of a show than with a hit. Together, the two set out to produce
the worst musical ever, with the worst script, the worst director,
and the worst cast they can find; the catch is that they will
somehow raise two million dollars to finance the show, and then
plan to take the money and head to Rio when the show inevitably
closes after just one performance! Full of wild characters, glitzy
showgirls and in your face comedy, you’re absolutely sure to have
a gay time. Not for the easily offended, this show makes a great

| | Several decades ago, the big ticket holiday event would have
included cozying up in from of the TV to watch a fun Christmas
Variety show. The best of these had an undeniable charm that
you just can’t find in the holiday programming of today. We
