Monday/Wednesday cast

Shrek The Musical JR. follows an ogre named Shrek who has learned the hard way that “people hate the things they cannot understand.” For many years he has protected himself from the hurtful actions of those who are scared of him by living as a recluse in a cozy cesspit. One day, his peaceful swamp is disturbed by new tenants: fairytale misfits — including Pinocchio, the Ugly Duckling, the Wicked Witch, Peter Pan, the Three Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf — have been banished there by the villainous Lord Farquaad. In order to gain back his land, Shrek makes a deal with Farquaad to rescue the feisty princess Fiona from a tower guarded by a fierce dragon. Setting off with his faithful companion, Donkey, Shrek begins the journey of a lifetime filled with adventure, romance, and hilarity.

AUDITIONS

All auditions will be held in person at the Historic Hoover Theater studios.

Audition Dates: Monday, August 3 - Friday, August 6, 2026 

4:15pm to 5:45pm M-F or 6:00pm-7:30pm Monday and Tuesday only

ALL conflicts (standing appointments, trips, etc.) need to be identified on the required supplemental registration form. A full rehearsal schedule will be provided after casting that will tell which actors are rehearsing on what day. Casting will affect TECH WEEK REHEARSAL DAYS – please check this details as all actors must be available all days of tech week.

There will be a mandatory Parent meeting held over Zoom, date & time TBA. 

The meeting will be recorded if you have a conflict and cannot attend live. However, it is mandatory for at least one parent or guardian to attend the meeting or watch the recording. We will be covering important production information and answering questions from attendees. A Zoom link will be emailed out prior to the meeting date.

Winnie the Pooh - Homeschool Program

The Hundred Acre Wood is calling! Come find Pooh, Piglet, Tigger & friends in the stories that started it all. 

Based on the books by A.A. Milne and an original script written by our own Artistic Director, Katie D’Arcey, Winnie the Pooh Homeschool is a collection of beloved stories featuring all your favorite characters. 

This newest edition for our Homeschool community will be adapted into a musical.

Ages 4-14

Auditions: Wednesday August 26, 2026 in one hour slots, 9:30-11:00 and 11:30-1:00.
