 FUNK FILM & CONCERT 

"WE WANT THE FUNK!" documentary - famed director Stanley Nelson examines the roots of funk music from the early days in gospel to the 1970's funk explosion into mainstream music. This 60-minute celebration film features concert footage and interviews with Parliament, Sly & the Family Stone, De la Soul, James Brown, and musicians such as David Byrne of Talking Heads.

KHARISMA JAZZMATIC funk band - one of the most popular dance bands in North Georgia, Kharisma Jazzmatic's special Funktastic concert for the DeSoto promises to infuse their signature funky groove into every single song. Just think of the fun you'll have, and the calories you'll burn, dancing at the DeSoto!
