	The 39 Steps (abridged) Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center Studio Theater Performance Dates: May 2, 3, 9, 10 at 7pm May 4, 11 at 2pm Performance length: 75 minutes Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps abridged, a fast-paced whodunit. This two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a cast of four), an onstage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance! 	Music Department Recital Series Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center Silvagni Recital Hall Performance Dates: May 4 at 3pm May 8 at 7pm Performance length: 75min with no intermission NVC faculty and talented musicians from the Napa community and beyond present monthly recitals of instrumental and vocal repertoire ranging from classical to musical theater and popular music. Students studying Applied Music at Napa Valley College will be featured in a Student Recital that will include a wide range of musical styles. Led by Music Faculty Dr. George England. 	Dona Nobis Pacem Performance Date: May 10 at 2pm Performance length: 75min Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center Main Theater The text of Dona Nobis Pacem ("Grant Us Peace") is a short prayer for peace from the Agnus Dei of the Latin mass. Presented by Napa Valley College Music, Dona Nobis Pacem includes NVC Chorale and ACHS Chamber Choir. Featuring Samantha Burgess as guest conductor, Christina Howell as soprano, and William O’Neill as bass-baritone Please note: show runs without an intermission. 	Jazz Ensemble Concert Performance Dates: May 15 at 7pm Performance length: 75min Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center, Silvagni Recital Hall Led by instructor and Jazz Ensemble Director Peter Estabrook, NVC students and community members will perform music by in a variety of styles within the jazz idiom including swing, funk, and Latin jazz.
