Fairy Tale Sale Afternoon- Summer 10 8

K - 2nd

Monday August 24th - Friday August 28th

What happens when some of hte most famous fairy tale characters decide to shake up their stories by selling off the things they don't want anymore?  What will Goldlocs break? What will the Three Pigs make their houses from?  You'll find out in The Fairy Tale Sale. The class instructor will work with each student to help them create a unique fairy tale character.  Students will then be a part of a narrated performance complete with costumes and makeup.  This play will be performed on ACT’s Annex Stage on the last day of class.   Each day of class, students will also have the chance to play fun theatre games that will help develop their acting skills and their ability to work with others.

Singin' In The Rain Jr.- Summer 40 36

7th - 12th grade

Class ACT is excited to present Singin' In The Rain Jr. 

The "Greatest Movie Musical of All Time" is full of hilarious situations, snappy dialogue, and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards.  Singin' In The Rain Jr. has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline- the starlet, the leading mand a romance that could change lives and make or break careers!  In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but behind the scenes things aren't always as they appear on the big screen!  Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.

This class starts with the experience of auditioning and contuse with the creation of a character, memorization of lines and a full performance with costumes and makeup. All students will be featured in this show that is performed for the public on August 21st at 7 pm, August 22nd at 2 pm and 7 pm and August 23rd at 2 pm

The Voyage of Dr. Dolittle- Summer 12 9

Why is Dr. Dolittle the most popular veterinarian in the country?  Because he can talk to animals in their own languages!  Soon Dr. Dolittle's fame spreads throughout the animal world, and he finds himself on a voyage to help animals in need.  Based on the originals stories by Hugh Lofting, the voyage of Dr. Doolittle is one grand adventure! 

The class starts with the experience of auditioning and continues with the creation of a character, memorization of lines and a full performance with costumes and makeup.  All students will receive a major role in this show that is performed for the public on July 17th and 18th at 7 pm.
