Stories High XXVI - Playwriting Workshop w/ Jeanie Ngo

Dive into the fundamentals of playwriting with Jeanie Ngo! Through six in-person courses designed to dig into formatting and structure, character building, dialogue, plot and tension, and editing your piece, we'll join forces to workshop your 10-minute play so it'll shine come time for submissions. All experience levels are welcome.

Jeanie Ngo

is a San Francisco writer whose plays have been produced in QAF VI and VII at Bindlestiff Studio, the Shotgun Festival and Spring Fringe Festival at SFSU, SF Olympians Festivals VII, VIII, and X at Exit Theatre, and Pint Sized, Music/Scene, Mixtape, and ShortLived VII at PianoFight. She has also written “MÓN QUÀ YÊU THƯƠNG,” an Asia Entertainment Christmas special. Her short stories have been published in the literary magazines Transfer 109 and Quiet Lightning, and her poetry has been featured at the Abrams Claghorn Gallery and published in the Scottish broadside barbara.

INCOME BASED TUITION

To make our workshops equitable and accessible we have a sliding scale income-based tuition fee. You will be able to choose your level at checkout. If you need further financial assistance, please email storieshigh@bindlestiffstudio.org to apply for one of our free registration slots.

$40 - recommended for participants with annual income of $25,000 or less (USE CODE: $25K)

$80 - recommended for participants with annual income of $25,000-45,000 (USE CODE: $45K)

$120 - recommended for participants with annual income of $45,000-70,000 (USE CODE: $70K)

$180 - recommended for participants with annual income of $70,000-$100,000(USE CODE: $100K)

$300 - recommended for participants with annual income of $100,000 or more

$400 - for participants who would like to support another person to attend this class

Drop-ins are not available.

Refund Policy: A full refund/transfer is available only if requested prior to the start of the first session.

No refunds for missed/cancelled classes.
