Calling All Junior Art Detectives! In this thrilling week, you'll uncover clues, learn fingerprinting, sketch like a pro, and solve an art mystery! Each day, you'll tackle creative projects tied to your investigation - until the case is cracked! 

This camps needs a minimum of 10 campers to register by May 22, 2026. 

Campers should bring a water bottle, snacks, and a blank sketchbook. 

Art on the Magic School Bus: Science & Creativity Monday - Friday 10 AM - 2 PM 30 27

Join us for a week of Magic School Bus-Inspired fun. Each day we will explore a new theme from the show with a hands-on art project and science activity to match. Imagination and creativity guaranteed!

We will explore lessons from episodes: "Inside Ralphie", "Gets Ready, Set, Dough", "Lost in Space", and "Take a Dive". 

Campers need to bring water bottle, snack, and clothes to get messy in. 

This camp will need 10 campers to sign up by 6/5/2026 to make. 

CAC ART CAMP: 3-D Art inspired by Shel Silverstein Poetry Monday - Friday 9 AM - 4 PM 50 35

Ages: 7-15 years

Locations: Downstairs Art Room, Upstairs Art Room, Wendland Hall 

Explore the expressive world of Shel Silverstein poetry and create 3-D Artwork and a staged reading. Campers will work with poetry, creative drama lessons, and build art in a collaborative process. 

This camp will need at least 10 campers to register by June 26, 2026. 

Campers should bring a water bottle, lunch, and come in clothes they can get messy in. 

CAC Art Camp: Art with Ms. De La Cruz Monday - Friday 9 AM - 12 PM 20 20

Instructor: Gabyee De La Cruz

Dates: June 15 - 19 

Times: 9:00 AM - 12 PM 

Cost: $150 

Come enjoy art with Gabyee. Campers should bring their own water bottle, snacks, and wear clothes to get creativly dirty in. 10 campers need to enroll by June 5th to make enrollment needs. 

CAC ART CAMP: Drawing and Painting Monday - Friday 9 AM - 12 PM 25 6

Age Group: 7-12 years

This is a beginning level class designed to engage young learners in painting and drawing techniques. All supplies provided by instructor. 

The class will need a minimum number of 10 students enrolled to make.

CAC Art Camp: Step and Stitch Monday - Friday 1 PM - 5 PM 20 20

Dates: July 20 - 24, 2026

Times: 1 PM - 5 PM 

Cost: $150

This CAC Art Camp will engage 12 -16 year old campers in learning dances from the Wicked movies as well as stitch together Oz inspired looks. Campers can expect to learn techniques in costuming, props, dance, and set building. 

Campers should bring water bottle and snacks. 

At least 10 campers must to register by July 6th to reach camp enrollment needs. 

Campers will showcase dances and costumes on Saturday, July 25th at the Double feature Wicked Sing Along at 1 PM and Wicked for Good Sing Along  at 3 PM. Campers receive one free ticket to  each movie. Additional tickets are $10.

In May and June, the Cultural Activities Center's theme is Art is Everywhere: Healing. Join us for a “Wooosssahhh Wednesday” Lunch and Learn: The Healing Art of Resonance & Breath.

 

When we slow down and allow ourselves to be in the present moment.  Only connected to our body and breath, the nervous system can reset.  Cortisol drops, Shallow breathing gives way to Deep cleansing breaths.  From this place of peace, creativity,and inspiration have room to expand.  This guided session will be a mini retreat.  Light breathwork and mediation accompanied by frequency music.

Get AAMP'D! The Academy of Art, Music, Performance and Dance invites campers will explore the music industry and prepare for a final stage performance. The camp includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, a t-shirt, a backpack, and supplies. 

Final Performance will be Friday, July 17 at 8 PM and is free to the public.

Introduction to Collagraph Printing Thursday 6 PM - 8 PM 20 20

This workshop introduces participants to collagraph printmaking through the creation of textured printing plates using layered materials and found objects. Students will explore texture, composition, and surface while building experimental plates that can be inked and printed by hand or press.

This workshop introduces participants to monoprinting through direct mark-making, layering, and experimental printing techniques. Students will explore additive and subtractive methods using ink, texture, and drawing tools to create one-of-a-kind prints. The workshop encourages playful experimentation and emphasizes process, spontaneity, and material exploration.

This workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of relief printmaking through carving and printing a simple design from a relief block. Students will learn how to transfer an image, safely carve a block, ink the surface, and create hand-pulled prints. The class emphasizes bold imagery, texture, and experimentation while providing an approachable introduction to printmaking techniques.

Pottery with Paul: Wheel (May - June) Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:30 PM 5 0

Date: Tuesdays May 12 – June 9       

Time: 6:30-8:30 PM

Cost per student: $155 which includes clay, glazes and kiln firings. 

Level: beginner-advanced 

 These classes are for beginner through intermediate clay students. In these classes Paul will teach clay techniques in intro to wheel throwing.  The class sessions are five weeks long, meeting on Tuesday evenings.  5 pottery wheels are available for use in the studio.  If you have prior experience and wish to work independently, students are welcome to explore hand building.  Take home something beautiful for use in your home or as a gift for someone special.
