The Princess and the Pea
(8 – 14 year olds by audition or invitation)
The Learning Theater Ensemble is an inclusive multi-generational program that provides area youth the opportunity to team with our professional actors and directors to learn the craft of acting. Students will enjoy an eight-week workshop in which they develop and rehearse an original production of The Princess and the Pea and continue to hone their performance skills during a 15-performance run of the show.
All participants must be available for all of the workshops and performances in the schedule below. Proof of COVID vaccination is required of all students participating and all COVID protocols will be strictly adhered to based on current CDC recommendations. Questions? Students are guided through creative play exercises that tap into their natural dramatic impulses as they explore the world of imagination. Through this guided improvisational work, LTS Jr helps children learn to work together and think creatively, build communication skills, and develop sensory awareness. |

Explore the world of acting through a small studio class that will help nurture your creativity while learning basic acting skills through fun improvisational games. A final showcase performance for parents and friends is offered at the end of class. Led by veteran theater artist and director, Matt Conner, this class is perfect for the aspiring young actor, or one who just wants to overcome stage fright.

A great class to channel all those natural performance instincts and build confidence in younger actors. Students will learn the basics of using their voice and body to tell a story. Class is taught by veteran teaching artist and director, Matt Conner, this is a fun class for those with big imaginations to experiment with theater arts and learn some fun games.
