Learning Theater Ensemble

The Emperor's New Clothes 

The Learning Theater Ensemble is an inclusive multi-generational program that provides area youth the opportunity to team with our professional actors and directors to learn the craft of acting. Students  will enjoy an eight-week workshop in which they  develop and rehearse an original production of The Emperor's New Clothes and continue to hone their performance skills during a 12-performance run of the show.  

Rehearsals: Sept 12, 19, 26, Oct 3, 10, 17, 24, 31  10:00am - 12 Noon
Rehearsals: Oct 26, 27, 28 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Rehearsals: Nov 2, 3, 4, 5  6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Performances: Nov 6 - 22. 12 Performances (Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 2:00 pm & 7:30 pm, Sundays at 2:00 pm)

Explore the world of acting through small studio classes that teach the basics.  exercises in You’ll create characters and use your body, voice and emotions as acting tools, through fun improvisational exercises. Learn to overcome stage fright and get more comfortable in front of people, and connect with other kids who love to create stories and sing out! Students present a final sharing performance at the end of each class. Activities are geared for appropriate age levels and taught by working professionals.  Our Learning Theater Studio classes become the pipeline for participation in our Learning Theater Ensemble.

Creative Cauldron’s Musical Theater Training Program presents a unique opportunity for students ready for a professional theater experience. Ensemble members will receive Masterclass Coaching in voice, movement, and acting that will prepare them for the Professional Musical Theater Stage.  They will join professional actors in the cast of the musical, Madeline's Christmas.

Masterclasses will be taught by veteran musical theater artists with extensive experience and credits in their fields. Musical Ensemble Theater cast members will perform as part of the ensemble with a cast of professional actors.  Enrollees must be strong singers, and dance or movement experience is a plus.
