Margie Jervis, Creative Cauldron's Resident Designer, shares a fun new perspective on learning the foundations of design. This hands on art class will focus with microscopic intensity (literally) at the smallest patterns and shapes that make our amazing planet a work of art. Each week, provides inspiring slide presentations of images with connections to science and culture AND a hands on art activity to open up new possibilities of creating art on paper. Enjoy the camaraderie as we share our discoveries! The class is for all levels. People have enjoyed the free ranging spirit of exploration in the Planet Art classes.
Suggested materials and some essentials*:
Pencils, colored markers, regular white printer paper, black permanent marker, white glue, scissors, tape
*Essential
mixed media paper Canson XL 11x14 (or other heavy paper you have that works for watercolor)
brushes for watercolor- fine if you already have some- there are many low price sets available at crafts stores or online- fancy is not needed
watercolor set : Paul Rubens student set of 24 colors is ideal |
