Margie Jervis, Creative Cauldron’s Set and Costume Designer, will guide you through ways to quickly make a splash with Flower Mandala Forms as a design theme.  Join in for an afternoon of fun information filled painting!  No Experience required! This class brings together the explore and discover attitude that infuses Margie's “Seeds of Design” and “Planet Art” classes and Techniques of Theater Scenery Painting. Learn to create your own stencils, printing and painting tools and use them, in this hands on class. Be prepared to get messy, so dress appropriately. 
 
For Zoom, participants suggested supplies include:  white paper (something larger than standard printer paper or paper taped together), card stock (old file folder works well!) ,  tape, 2” “chip brush”,  basic set of kids tempra paint (primary colors and black and white) sponge, paper towel, #10 round brush for water based paint, yarn or string, scissors, pencils
 
On Zoom: $15 (You will see the demonstrations of the variety of techniques, have time to do some painting at home and join in the class discussions.)

Through improvisation and scripted work tailored specifically for zoom, Producing Artistic Director, Laura Connors Hull, creates a fun and supportive environment for participants to unleash creativity while building self-confidence. Whether you’ve taken an acting class before, or have always wanted to, this workshop is a great way to stimulate your imagination, engage your senses and experience the joy of acting.

Join Strauss-Awarding visual artist and resident scenic designer, Margie Jervis, traveling the globe, discovering the art and design systems plants can show us.  From food, to clothing, to shelters and packaging, plants and people work together creating culture around the world.  In this class, we will be creating our own drawings and designs in simple hands-on projects in the class and as much on your own at home as you wish.  No experience is required, the concepts in the class will be just as interesting to an experienced art maker as to the novice. 

Basic materials lessons in drawing and watercolor techniques and your extravagant imagination will join forces as we experiment together in Margie’s art and nature-lab approach. The community aspect of the class helps students encourage each other to try new things.

Suggested materials :  Canson sketchbook of heavy mix media paper series XL 11”x14”,  Strathmore 9”x12” Watercolor Paper pad 300 series,  Crayola Supertips Markers set of 20 or more, Crayola color pencils set of 24, 2B pencils, fine line black sharpie, basic watercolor student set, scissors, glue stick,
