Clark Cabaret - Audition Required for Enrollment! Friday 4-6 p.m. 16 16

Clark Cabaret: AUDITION REQUIRED FOR ENROLLMENT Facilitated by Tammy Slack and Thomas Farnan-Williams Clark's very own musical theatre singing troupe performs each semester at Henthorne PAC as well as performance opportunities in the Tulsa community. Open auditions are once per year each September; students accepted into Clark Cabaret are troupe members for one full season. September-May. For non previous members, a video audition will be required. Please contact Tammy Slack for inquiries. Cost is $150 per semester, plus a $15 per semester material fee. Ages 8-18. Clark Cabaret will be performing at Live on the Lawn at the PAC this Fall, as well and other local outdoor festivals, as they are scheduled. Clark Cabaret will also be focusing on putting out uplifting and encouraging music content during this unprecedented time in our country! Classic Film Taught by Erin Scarberry and John Cruncleton III Students will collaborate on the execution of a feature length film. A play from classic theatre will be selected after enrollment is finalized. Filming will occur via digital platforms and in person. Camera acting techniques will be explored and developed. Rehearsals and filming assignments will be set after conflict calendars are turned in with enrollment, and will take place between September 12 and December 12, 2020.. All materials created may be used by Clark Youth Theatre for television, print and web promotion. Cost is $80 or Teen Saturday Pass. Ages 13-18.

Home School Art in the Park: Taught by Penny Burt To provide students with an introduction to several art mediums within a semester including paint, wire sculpture, drawing, pastels, watercolor, charcoal and clay. Using audio and video clips, students will learn about American Musical Theatre, from its origins in operetta and Tin Pan Alley all the way to the Broadway musicals of today like Hamilton and Hadestown. Storybook Series Taught by Erin Scarberry and Thomas Farnan-Williams Storybook Series at Clark is one of our favorite programs for preteens. Students use class time to create, rehearse and prep for Storybook Series performances throughout the season. Students can gain performance experience while performing their favorite books for adoring young theatre-goers! There are two performances per semester, each with unique presentations. This semester, students will devote a significant portion of class time to playwriting development in preparation for Clark's 2021 Race Massacre Project. In addition, Clark Youth Council is an active part of Workshop Hour. The first Saturday of every month Workshop Hour will be time for Youth Council to promote performances, provide social media support and make recommendations about CYT programming.
