About the Program:

This program will feature hands-on instruction in a fun and fast-paced learning environment with area educators and artistic professionals culminating in a presentation from Disney’s Aladdin Kids. Students will receive voice instruction, develop dance skills, and be introduced to theater vocabulary and concepts while building ensemble skills through theatre games and exercises. Children will be placed in roles the first week of classes; no auditions will take place. 

Fees:

About the Program:

Students completing grades 6-8 can take a trip back to the 1980s for a month of pop music, glitter, and roller disco as FMCT brings XANADU JR to life on our stage!  All who enroll will be cast in the production with auditions for roles being held the first day of camp. Our four-week program will foster middle school-aged artists as they further develop to the next level in their theatre education and performance.  Students will receive voice instruction, develop dance skills, explore techniques for character development, and master theater vocabulary and concepts while building ensemble skills through theatre games and exercises. Auditions for roles will be held the first day of camp.

Spend a week that’s practically perfect in every way! Take a trip to Cherry Tree Lane as students develop their storytelling skills through singing and dancing. Build the connection between body and voice while strengthening vocal skills such as breathing, harmony, rhythm, diction, and resonance. As students develop their technique, students will see their skills fly as high as a kite!

Create a world that is all your own in this week-long camp based on the popular video game and book series! Using the world of Minecraft as inspiration, create a play utilizing team work and cooperative storytelling skills. Just be sure to look out for creepers! Using improvisation, character work, and brainstorm, create the next world to explore!

Bring this story of friendship (and snacks) to life as you develop story construction skills, character creation, and teamwork through ensemble activities.  You’ll use actor’s tools of body, voice, and imagination as the dragons, and spices, explore this week!
