Audition Expedition Thursdays 6-8 PM- 01/30/25-03/20/25 20 19

In this class, students will take a deep dive into audition preparation. Students will start with conducting research and preparing an audition monologue, which they will perform and receive feedback on. Next, students will participate in a singing audition masterclass, and a mock dance audition. Finally, students will practice cold reads and study the art of chemistry tests. This class will end with a mock audition in front of a panel of directors who will provide feedback to students. Students will be expected to prepare various assignments outside of class, such as memorizing lines, procuring musical selections, etc.

Improvageddon Session A Wednesdays 6-8 PM- 02/12/25-03/05/25 10 0

Students will explore improvisation techniques through various games and exercises from HCT Artistic Director, Eric Seale’s very own competitive improv game show! This class will be offered twice in order to accommodate a small class size and the large amount of interest in launching Improvageddon as a permanent fixture at HCT. You only need to sign up for one session; choose the one that works best for your schedule.

Improvageddon Session B Tuesdays 6-8 PM- 04/08/25-04/29/25 9 6

Itchin' to Audition (intended for homeschooled/alternative schooled students) Tuesdays 2-3 PM- 01/28/25-03/18/25 15 15

In this class, students will develop the skills needed to really stand out at an audition! They will practice cold readings, as well as prepare audition monologues. There will also be lessons about singing and dancing audition segments for musicals. The class will culminate in a final mock audition for a panel of directors who will provide feedback to students. Students will be expected to work on small assignments outside of class, such as memorizing lines. This class is available to any student within the age range that is available during the meeting time.
