Fairy Tales and Superheroes June 20- 24, 9:30-11:00 AM

FAIRY TALES AND SUPERHEROES (GRADES K-2)

Bring your favorite fantasy characters to life through this introductory class for young performers! Students will become familiar with stage directions and actions, learn to create and work with props and costumes, and will be able to showcase their skills at the end of the workshop for their families. A perfect class for beginning actors who want to learn more about the magical world of theater!

All classes will be held at Kearney Community Theatre, 83 Plaza Blvd., Kearney, NE 68845.

Tuition: $40

Shakespeare for Kids June 20-24, 1:30-3:00 PM

SHAKESPEARE FOR KIDS (GRADES 3-6)

Hear ye, hear ye! This class calls for the brave and true - and maybe the silly too! In Shakespeare for Kids, students will learn to read and understand the life and works of William Shakespeare in a fun, approachable way. There will be much madness and mischief to ensue! This class is a great choice for actors of all levels who want to learn about one of the most prominent playwrights of our time and his popular comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Whose Line is it Anyway June 13-17, 4:30-6:00 PM

WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY (GRADES 6-8)

In this improv-inspired class, students will be able to make a story their own through scene construction, character development, and most importantly - thinking on one's toes! This high energy, fast paced class is a good opportunity for actors to use creative thinking and their big imaginations! Whose Line is it Anyway welcomes actors of all experience levels and will offer the basic principles of improv and its significance and usefulness in the world of theater. Plus - it's just fun to see what happens when it's "Make it up as you go along!"
