Students will learn acting techniques, character development, building confidence, memorization techniques, method acting, movement for the stage and script analysis. Saturday , April 15. 3:30-5:30 Ages 6 through adult. Cost: $25 This is a two-hour workshop designed to help actors improve audition techniques and boost confidence prior to upcoming auditions at Village Square or other theatres. Vocal techniques, expression, stage fright, how to prepare, improvisation exercises and advice on standing out in a crowd will be covered. Students will go through mock acting and singing auditions using several different scripts and will be directed on ways to make improvements. Advice will be given on choices for selection of audition music. Students will also “get into the mind of a director” to learn about what directors look for at auditions. For those who are new to the audition process, students will learn what to expect. For those who have auditioned before, students will learn how to improve. Two hour class on Saturday, March 11 from 10:00-12:00 (morning). $25. Ages 9 and up. Learn how to do stage dialects by learning the Phonetic Alphabet, learning how dialects work, and how to do basic stage British Dialect. Great gerneral overview of stage dialects. Minimum of 5 students needed for class to make. Taught by Artistic Director, Debra Leopard.

Ages 11-18 Cost: $185. Tuesdays 6:00-7:00. Starting February 7th for 8 weeks.Are you ready to improve your singing voice? This is aclass designed for the serious acting student with an emphasis on Musical Theatre voice for the stage. This class will be challenging but fun and will include vocal performance techniques-designed for the advanced level student. Learn to sing in an ensemble, blend, harmonize, or sing a powerful solo. Taught by professional dancer/singer/actress Candice Pipkin.

Designed for the very young theatre student to emphasize creativity, imagination and having fun while learning the basics of acting. Basic Musical Theatre techniques included! Each student develops at least one commercial and one monologue. Continuing from last semester or new students welcomed. Solo, Duet/Trio, small group and large group material from a variety of musicals.. Singing and Dancing experience is not necessary. Continuing from last semester or new students welcome. Deposit of $55 to hold a spot in the 2023 Summer Workshop. Seussical the Musical. Ages 5-21. Non-Refundable. Remaining tuition of $180 must be paid by May 20th. Workshop is a real theatre experience taking young performers from auditions to closing night. Every child is guaranteed a role. Dates of performances are July 23-30. Rehearsals start June 5.
